My dad died of cancer of the esophagus at the age of 60 in 1979.  My husband had triple bypass surgery in 1991 with complications following, such as cytomegalovirus (related to the Epstein Barr Virus).  My brother had Sclero Derma of the skin and probably effecting the internal organs.  After fighting and winning for ten years with his disease, he had a heart attack in 2000 and at the age of 58 and passed away very unexpectedly.  My father-in-law had Peripheral Neuropathy and did not have Diabetes so they didn't know how to treat his condition.  He did live a reasonably good life to the age of 92. 

My stepfather had Alzheimer's and fortunately for him, went rather quickly as compared to some with that affliction.  My mother had three different kinds of arthritis, including Rheumatoid Arthritis, and Lupus.   Unfortunately, she has also gone home as of June, 2004.  Her saving grace is that she passed quickly at the age of 85. With this family history and the horror stories I have heard from managing a health food store, I definitely wanted to find the method to keep myself and get my family healthy.
